Process

Q: I want to be a customer of eTax Center, Inc.  What do I do now?

A:  See our Get Started page to begin the self on boarding process.  You can begin the process at any time day or night.  Go to www.etaxcenter.com/get-started.

Q:  How fast is the turnaround time on a tax return?

A:  We strive for a fast turnaround time.  If we have all of your source documents, you can expect your return within three days after we receive your payment.

Q: Does eTaxCenter prepare amended tax returns?

A:  Yes. We prepare amended tax returns all year-round.  To get started on your amended tax return, go to etaxcenter.com/get-started/

Price

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Prices vary depending on the complexity of the return.

Q: When is a price established?

A:  eTaxCenter establishes a price after receiving all of your required documentation.  Once you notify the tax preparers that all of your information has been uploaded to our secure portal, we are able to then effectively price the tax return.

Q: Why do I have to upload information before I receive an official quote?

A:  In order to give you the best possible service, we need to know what we are working with.  If after receiving our quote you choose not to work with eTax Center, Inc. we will simply take your documents off the secure portal.  We do not keep or store your information if you do not decide to hire us.

Security

Q: Is my data safe?

A: We have partnered with SafeSend™, a secure document delivery solution that offers a client portal, file sharing system and an automated PDF encryption feature. If you would like more technical detail, please check out the SafeSend™ security statement found here.

Q: Is my tax information being sent overseas for data entry?

A:  No.  We do all of the work at our local offices inside of the United States.

Q: How do I know my tax return has actually been filed?

A: You will receive an email stating that your return has been accepted by the IRS.

Q: What if my email says my return has been rejected instead of accepted?

A: Depending upon your circumstances, we will make the necessary adjustments for e-file or prepare your tax return for paper filing.
